Thiru. S. Abdul Malik

S.Abdul Malik, B.Com., M.L., is a native of Trichy, born on 14-9-1968. He completed his schooling fully at the St. John’s Vestry Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Trichy from 1974-1986. He did his B.Com; from 1986-1989 at the renowned St’ Joseph’s College, Trichy and passed out with distinction. He graduated as a Bachelor of Law under the Madras University at the Central Law College, Salem from 1989-1992 and secured first rank. Later he did his Master of Law at the Government Law College, Trichy from 1994-1996.
He practiced as an advocate at Trichy from 1992 to 2002 under his senior and maternal grandfather, Senior Advocate, “Thirukural” Mr. P. Abdul Kareem. Later he was selected to the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Service through the exam conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission during 2002, in which he secured the State First Rank with 310 marks.
From 2002 to 2013 he served as Civil Judge, from 2013 to 2019 he served as Senior Civil Judge and promoted as District Judge in the year 2019. He is very much interested in rendering free legal services to the needy and poor and as such in his judicial service, he has held the posts of Chairman and Secretary of various Taluk and District Legal Services Authority all over Tamil Nadu wherein, he has conducted numerous free legal aid camps.
