Tmt.D.Sujatha

Mrs.D.Sujatha, born on 01.04.1972 at Salem District to Mr.M.Dhanapalan and Mrs.R.Chandra, both of them are teachers. She had her school education in “Fathima Convent”, Salem. She joined in the “The Central Law College, Salem” in five years integrated law course, and completed her law degree. She enrolled as an Advocate on 26.10.1994 and started her practice on both civil and criminal side. She is a first generation lawyer. In the year 1997, she has procured her Master’s Degree in “Labour and Industrial Relations and Admininstrative Law”. For a year, she served as Faculty at law college in Salem, contributing her expertise to the education of future lawyers. In the year 2002, selected as Assistant Public Prosecutor and served as APP in Erode District Court. In the year 2003, selected as Civil Judge Junior Division and joined in service on 29.12.2003, served at Coimbatore, Thirichirappalli, Madurai and Chennai. Then, on 18.09.2015, promoted to Senior Civil Judge and has served as Additional Judicial Member, Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal at Coimbatore and Secretary, District Legal Service Authority at Namakkal. Then, on 16.06.2021 promoted as District Judge(Entry Level) and joined as Presiding Officer, III Additional Labour Court, Chennai, and then on 09.12.2024 joined as Presiding Officer, I Additional Labour Court, Chennai.
Achievements as DLSA, Secretary at Namakkal:
With great effort obtained “Community Certificates” for 16 orphanage children of “The Sivabakkiam Orphanage Home” at Namakkal.
Conducted a “Green Drive” the festival of 2,500 palm seed plantation at Singalanthpuram lake, Namakkal.
Four School – drop children were rescued from child labour.
Stopped a Child Marriage at Karaikuruchi village, Namakkal.
Conducted “Mupperum vizha” at Mallasamuthiram village, Namakkal.
Arranged for distribution of tricycle and clutches to Differently Challenged Persons.
Redemption of retained Original Education Certificates from several colleges and schools for several students, when they could not continue their education and pay fees.
